Hi there! I'm Kat - the gal behind it all at Katlyn Paige Photos.
Over the last five years, my photographic journey has evolved from taking iphone photos of the casual moments in my life to capturing the heart and soul of life's greatest celebrations.
I immediately fell in love with storytelling through photography when I got my first camera. What started as a hobby has grown into a business of five years built on connection, creativity, and a whole lot of heart.
At the heart of my photography are the connections I make with my clients. They are more than just the subjects at the end of my lens - they become lifelong friends. I genuinely love discovering every person's unique story.
Outside of photography, I am currently a surgical nurse, a full time business owner, and a dog + horse mama. I currently reside between Michigan and Windsor. I work in the United States and spend most of my time there but my heart forever belongs to Southern Ontario.
If i had to describe my personality based off of characters from television shows I would best describe myself as a "fusion" if you will. Now hear me out,
Ross Geller, Chandler Bing, and David Rose. Low key all dudes but if you have ever met me or worked with me you are probably giggling right out. Now mind you, just because I have a funny/sarcastic side does not mean I am not a sucker for love. All of those characters above also loved love. You will most likely catch me crying during vows.
Another fun side of me is being your hype gal. Now, I know people read this often but sincerely I will have you feeling a whole new feeling after your session. Now heres why (This is also MY why for my business), I grew up with very limited self confidence and i struggled with loving appearance growing up so I understand what those insecurities may feel for someone. My mission is to make sure you feel beautiful on the inside so we can showcase it on the outside. EVERYONE is beautiful in their own unique way and I think that it is amazing that I can bring that opportunity for someone.
